I have a small NAS file-server that I keep attached to my home network. With Kubuntu 7.10 I used Smb4K to mount shares from the NAS whenever they were needed. It was working without problems.
Now in 8.04, I only seem to be able to mount using the CIFS file system. If I go to the smb4K configuration page, under "Samba / mount", if I choose "SMBFS" as filesystem, the CIFS options become grayed out and the SMBFS options become clear (as expected); but if I click on "Apply", leave the page, then come back, I see that the SMBFS options are grayed out again, and the CIFS options are clear. And in fact, even though I select SMBFS as a filesystem, and mount a share, the command "mount -l" says that the share is mounted as CIFS.
How can I enable SMBFS? I have the following packages installed:
fusesmb
libsmbclient
libsmbios1
smb4k
smbclient
smbfs
Thanks,
Cristian
