KDE 4.1 menu...

Hi all,

Under 8.04 I have lots of menu items simply not appearing even though I know that the programs are installed, e.g. the configuration menu item as just one important one. Can anyone suggest a way to get the menu to be regenerated without having to add each program manually to the menu?

What exactly do you mean by configuration menu? Do you mean the System Settings application? Mine was under my favorites by default. Also, remember you can search for application with the search bar. You can also right click on them and make them a favorite.

Try KMenu ->Settings ->Menu Updating Tool (KAppfinder) and tell it to Scan.
