Since updating the last batch of KDE4.1 updates both my laptop and desktop cannot shutdown/restart correctly unless I use the start/restart button. The strange bit is that when my wife is logged on as user then all the options work as expected including logout and switch user. If I'm the one logged on I sometimes end up with this image (sorry for  the poor pic from my phone).
