Hi!
I need somebody to confirm that one feature of standard installation CD Kubuntu 8.04.2 is SURELY working: 8)
In the last set-up step of installation, you can click to "Advanced" button and change location of the boot loader - normally it is (hd0). If this is a GRUB format (and seems to be), you can set for example (hd0,2) - and the loader will be installed to the boot sector of third partition of disk hd0. This is what I need (dont ask why, not important). Only one thing I need - is here anyone who really knows, that this works? I'm not sure, beause if I set it to (hd0,2), then confirm this dialog and then open it again, there is default (hd0), not what I set... I have really fear that the installer is too stupid or buggy and will install boot loader to MBR anyway...
So, anyone tryed this?
