    Can't mount burner - error 32

Loaded Kb 08 from downloaded disk on disk drive OK, tried to play a DVD no result; in admin, Advanced both Burners (disk drives) listed but disabled (unmounted - greyed out); select cdrom0 and and click enable gives Error Message; error occurred while enabling/media/cdrom0. System reported: mount: no medium found. This is the drive I loaded Kubuntu with!
Return code from mount was 32 "mount failure"
The disk drives are listed but the system won't mount them.
I am running a Celeron with 1 gig of memory.
Anyone know what is blocking the mount command?
