I want to use KDE with a LTS version of (K)ubuntu. What's the easiest way to do this please?

I think the easiest way is to install Kubuntu 8.04.1 (a significant update over 8.04), and then get all the updates.
http://releases.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/hardy/
It doesn't say so, but it should be LTS, same as Ubuntu 8.04.1 (they are really teh same distro, Kubuntu just uses the kubuntu-desktop metapackage, that's all)
