    KDE4 Package

I'm running KDE4.1.1. However, when running Adept Manager there is a package labeled 'KDE4' with a description: 'the K Desktop Environment version 4 official modules'. This package is NOT installed. How does this differ from what I am running? Should this be installed?

    Re: KDE4 Package

I think there were some different kde4 packages when 4.0.x was out... and then they switched to a different meta package for 4.1.x... so I am pretty sure you are ok...

KDE4 package is only a metapackage marking dependences with all other packages in the system. You don't need it for actual using the system, but if you want to install whole KDE4 in one step by typing

      Code:
      sudo apt-get install kde4
      it can be done.
