impossible log in help !

Hi,
I've this problem..

the boot is ok so when I have to insert my password it try to log in but every time return to log in screen without say wrong password....if I write wrong password it tell me..

I've try also to boot in recovery mode shell and change password doing this:

password username

it change password but every log in nothing change...I think it's not psw problem


any ideas

(kubuntu hardy 8.04 kde4)
