    Installing without the CD?

Here at my parents house their family computer is running embarrassingly slow, and I think it's a perfect candidate for this distro.

Problem is, I don't really have access to a CD burner here. There is the internet however. I've ordered a CD through Shipit, but I was wondering if there was a way around this, an alternative way to install it?

    Thanks for your help.

Maybe this can point you in the right direction:

HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
    4 GB Ram
    Kubuntu 18.10

You could install it using a usb stick also. Checkout https://launchpad.net/liveusb. You can download the kubuntu live iso, and then mount it to your cdrom (instructions: https://answers.launchpad.net/liveusb/+question/37587) and install it to a usb stick. From there you can install it on your computer. The biggest caveat is that the computer must be able to boot from the usb stick (set that in the bios).
