    Help with installing into Partition

I made a 15gb partition (would have been bigger but for some reason windows wont let me make it any bigger.. even though I have 190gb free!!??) and its all set up.

I booted into Kubuntu and went into the installation. I was going through the setup process until I came to the part where it wants me to pick a drive/partition. Obviously i want to pick Manual because if I pick guided it will delete windows and everything on there right? so i select the partition I set up just for Kubuntu and it gives me an error "No rood system is defined"

how do I define a root system then?? please help thanks!

    First:

    How to Partition, Rog131:
    http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3090704.0

    Then,
Get GParted Live CD (free & saves you tons of grief):
    GParted: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
Re-boot your PC using the GParted Live CD you just made (perhaps using Nero to burn it as an iso, or whatever CD burner you have).
    And make a partition for
    root (/),
    one for /home,
    and one for swap.
    Make them ext3 formats.

Then start your Live Kubuntu CD installer.
    Step 4 Manual.
    Step 5:
Highlight your partitions, Edit, and indicate what they are (perhaps from a drop-down list):
    root (/), /home, swap.
