KDE4.1 Remix HH ... Recent Update problem

The problem is two.
After most recent update that included things from the PPA.

1 KNetworkManager had problems running when booting. To get it to work must run in konsole.
2. adpet_notifier does not start either.

Anyone else?

I just experienced the same thing. knetworkmanager didn't start when I booted. I recently did a fresh install of KDE4.1 remix/hardy heron on a new disk and have been getting things set up the way I like them. Thought maybe I hadn't set something up right (I'm new to linux/kde).

I actually solved my issue by having it save my sessions when logging out/shutting down, which records some apps as being open and reopens them once logged back in. I haven't gone back to "Start with Empty Session" since, so I don't know if that issue was ever resolved. May actually be a function of saving a session or not.
