    BIG PROBLEM

i was using a windows xp/kubuntu 8.04 dual boot. my computer crashed when i was doing fsck on kubuntu. My external hd was connected to my pc and when i type fsck it gives me a warning about unmounting extrnl hd and asked me to continue or not, but i choose to continue by mistake. and after that my computer crashed. i have a kubuntu 8.04 dvd and a supergrub disk when i first run kubuntu from cd i have reached the windows partiton then i try supergrub to boot one of operating systems, but failed. then when i run kubuntu live cd again i could not access windows part(it seems as 'Remote Share(unionfs)'). and when i try to boot computer i have an error 'Error loading operating system'. I have important files in my both systems. Thanks for any help...

    Re: BIG PROBLEM

u could of course run the livecd and mount the external HardDrive from there, and do a backup then re-install everything or from the liveCD re-run the fsck on it.
