    Uh oh....

    Hi, I'm running Hardy KDE 4.0.1 and all was good with both my macbook and mac mini but after today's update, both machines wont boot to KDE. The farthest they get is to almost starting up the desktop then I get a message stating, "Cannot open theme file @@@ToBeReplacedByDesktopBase@@@". That is all I can get. I have to idea what to do about this. Anyone know how to get me through this fiasco?

        Re: Uh oh....

        I had a similar problem with KDE 3 and the kdm theme manager. All I did was edit the file:

        /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc

        I assume you'll use kde4

        In the x-greeter section I changed the line Theme=***some garbage*** to

        Theme=/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/mythemedir

        and added the line

        UseTheme=true

        at the end of that same section. Hope that helps.
