I am very unhappy with Hardy. How do I downgrade? Could I just change into gutsy in my /etc/apt/sources.list? I will return to Hardy when kde 4.1 or later is finished.

Downgrading, in short, is nigh impossible. If you change your sources.list file the latest kernel and packages will stay on your box until 07.10 plays catch up. Having said that, KDE4.1 is out in four weeks' time - is that too long to wait?Once your problem is solved please mark the topic of the first post as SOLVED so others know and can benefit from your experience! / FAQ -

Do you have separate home partition ?
If you have - you could simply install the GG over the HH and keep your data safe (installation settings !).Before you edit, BACKUP !
