Does anyone have VNC workign with 8.04?

I've tried to get it to work on both Kubuntu and Ubunutu without success. Other posts have suggests the same problems as well, connects but only a terminal window.

Has anyone been able to get VNC to work?

Not to well. I don't think they care to much about kubuntu. I'm looking for a new kde distribution.

when you install the vncserver in kubuntu it defaults to making a new desktop the :1 and your desktop your kde is running in is :0 probably its not like windows it dosent want to share your desktop by default it makes a new one to work on in a simple environment so it's faster and uses lest bandwith i guess. i was confused at this before too you could probably configure vnc so that it shares your screen instead but you can still run any gui program you want through that terminal.
