Corrupt Screen when booting Kubuntu Hardy

    Hi,

When I try to boot Kubuntu from the hard disk, the screen graphics are corrupt and repeated across the display. The problem occurs when I reach the login screen. The live cd works okay.

My graphics card is an Asus HD3650 and my display is a Hazro HZ24W with a native resolution of 1920x1200. The relevant parts of my xorg.conf follow:

I would really like to get Kubuntu working on my new rig as it is my preferred distro! Otherwise, I will have to use Mandriva or openSUSE - eek!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
