    Needs some help :/

I'm not sure if this goes in this section but here it goes

I download desktop CD, burn and and reboot my PC, I see the loading screen but then it just freezes and my computer hangs up and i see all those funny looking lines like screen is total broken

Cool, I read somewhere to download Alternate CD install, which boots just fine and installs perfectly and as soon as I see log in box, type my password and see desktop. Anywhere I click on desktop it just hangs and hangs and hangs little bit more.

This is my pc : asus-AN8ultra, 4200x2 and 2 gigs of ram and before 7800gtx

This has been happening in previous release which was 7 and today I tried newest one and still get same errors, ubuntu or kubuntu...Same goes for other distros too such as Fedora or Mint, Im pretty sure I tried OpenSuse too and I just get black screen after install.

AM I doing something wrong or just my hardware is retarded?

don't know what your problem is...
but most often screen issues can be solved by booting in "safe graphics mode".
that's from the start/boot menu, that is...
    sometimes that doesn't work, though.
you need to read the help page (f1, i think).
just recently i got a 7 year old laptop to boot alright by adding "vga=771" to the boot line...
read the help to see if you find something more.
sorry i can't be of any more help...
    good luck.
