Specific apps in K Menu not run as root when they are supposed to be...

I just did a fresh install of Kubuntu Hardy, and I'm unable to load up either the Adept Manager or Add/Remove Programs; I looked at their entries in the Menu Editor, and neither is being run as root (no kdesu or similar). For instance, the command to run Adept Manager is simply "adept_manager" and not "kdesu adept_manager". Is this some sort of bug/mistake with my install? Of course I can manually run them as root from the command line, but why is my K menu not set up right after a fresh install?

    Thanks for any help.

I'm having similar troubles, I have a hardy beta I installed a while ago and just finished oc testing and wanted to mess around a bit before installing lts.

No kdesu kate. Can't open kate root w/ alt+f2 either.

How my Adept Manager is setup in the K Menu entry. I'm prompted for my user password.

After even more dinking around with the problem, I finally decided to reboot, and voila, I could load Adept Manager no problem from the K menu. I think it may have to do with a bug that has all ready been submitted, where K menu items are disabled after using sudo to run something in the shell. That's exactly how my scenario happened. Anyway, thanks for the replies.

At least you have it working the way it is supposed to.
