Hello all,
First off Ill warn everyone that I am a Linux noob. Im recently upgraded from Gusty to Hardy. However after the upgrade, I rebooted and got the following error message:
Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block
Im not quite sure where to begin on fixing this. I read somewhere that my GRUB could be looking at the wrong partition for the Kernel, but that doesnt seem to be the issue. I can boot into a command line using another option in GRUB, but when I run try to run startx I get another error message about the NVIDIA kernel module not being loaded. Should I try reinstalling Hardy from a CD? Is there some way I can roll back to where I was before the upgrade?
Thanks,
Chris
