[solved] X server not loading in Dell Vostro 1000 and Kubuntu 8.04 KDE 4

I have a Vostro 1000 with ATI Radeon that works perfectly with Kubuntu 7.10

When i try to boot from kubuntu 8.04 kde 4 everything looks to work fine until X.
When the system try to load the X server, i got a black screen.
If i try to use the safer graphics mode, i got the same screen, but with the mouse working...

Any sugestion?

First: i had to include the option all_generic_ide in the boot line command

Second: i had to choose "Safe Graphics Mode"

So, everything worked fine!
