Error code 29 w/Googleearth (solved)

Tried installing Googleearth. It won't connect with the server. I changed perms but still get the same error code 29. I googled the error code but only found one entry... someone else running Hardy Heron with the same problem. Hope this gets resolved soon.

Just a tip that might or might not work.

During the previous Kubuntu, I downloaded and installed Googleearth from the central server of Google: it did not work .

However, because I installed it in /usr/local/ and this is a separate partition, it was saved accros the upgrade ( = fresh install) to 8.04.
Supprise! It now works .

Just something to try out: hope it helps.

Solved. (Went back to PCLinuxOS)
