The Grub package is corrupted during installation, so I skipped and install Lilo, after that I reboot with Lilo, it took long time to boot up the system, then I apt-get install Grub back, but I don't know how to set it up so that it will run on boot please advise.

Or, you can download Super Grub Disk live CD and use it to fix GRUB.
