2.6.24.13-Generic No Boot

I just updated the to the new kernel.
Can't boot
System comes to the login prompt in the console.
The Xserver seems to be rebooting every 5 seconds (not confirmed that it is Xserver or flicker)
I can log in
I sudo start kde3
NOGO Can't access Xserver
I sudo start kde4
NOGO Can't access Xserver

Kubuntu 8.04 Beta Dual boot with Microjunk XP<br />HP DV6225us Laptop AMD64x2 3gig ram, Sprint Wifi, nvidia card, 120 sata. 10 partitions 2 environments of Kubuntu and one windows.<br /><br />We can always prove that we are right but is God convinced of it?

Did you have a proprietary video driver installed? If so, you have to reinstall it to run with the new kernel.
