    Updates

Well.. I sure hope that Adept and Synaptic start to work again some day. Until then apt-get and I are having a nice little affair.

REALLY like the new background for the KDM screen.

the computer boots... that's an improvement over some updates as well. hehehe

Yep, the package manager seems to be having some challenges with the recent updates.

I noticed that Adept Notifer and Adept Updater started working the other day, even though Adept Manager barfed on the upgrade. I think it's coming together -- it's just acting kinda ...errr ... Beta-ish.

Oh ya... use the "B-word" sure.

Ya I noticed that Notifier started working for me this morning. I haven't been doing updates this week because I needed the machine for production. One might think that using an Alpha release for a production machine isn't a wise decision... and one would be correct.

Was synaptic broke? I installed the latest alpha yesterday and did all the updates and Synaptic still worked (and still works). Maybe I came in a couple of hours late and dodged a bullet on that one?

Yes, I think someone came down from their trip and put some nice colors

          It is for kde4.
          In kde3 it works fine

Me too, Kev, although I do have two backups of my important/live data, so it's not at risk of anything worse than a broken OS. HH is actually running really well of late.

On Adept Manager, the last 2 or 3 days of updates have been handled just fine. (I may be sorry I wrote that, later ....). I ran updates multiple times over the weekend and it never failed.

This morning I encountered an odd phenomenon -- I did Alt-F2 and attempted to run Kate. Kate never opened, and Alt-F2 is now non-functional -- dead as a doornail. I checked running processes and kate isn't in there, so it never started at all. I left the machine running because there is a bit torrent downloading -- but tonight I'll probably reboot it to see what's up with the Alt-F2 situation. I suspect it to be a KDE4 issue rather than a HH issue. Anyone else see something like this?

                Yes, on kde4 alpha 6.
kde4 HH updated runs fine (except synaptic/adept)

Then again file watcehr on GG / kde4 doesn't want to open

so we have 3 different versions of kde4? I don't get it :P

Alt-F2 is a no go on my KDE4 either.

Adept is back in play now for me!

This seems to be the case. I'm thinking this is gonna have to get straightened out asap.
