Re: Some things "cant communicate with KLaunch"
I got Google Earth installed and Compiz working correctly before I gave it up last night and crashed. I let it go to sleep at whatever the defaults are, and was pleasantly surprised that it was NOT in some state of "disconnected the video" that sometimes happens with my new Nvidia card -- it came back up nicely when I moved the mouse.
In Mepis and Sidux I recently got "Suspend to RAM" working -- this is very cool, because the computer shuts down in about 10 seconds, and "boots" (i.e. un-suspends) in 20 seconds, so it's a great time saver. I'll try to get that working with Kubuntu and if I do I'll post a How-To.
So, tonight's agenda:
1. Install VMWare Player/Win XP
2. Find a new wallpaper for HH
3. Configure Suspend to RAM
4. New screenshot for the gallery
