    Dist-upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04?

Is this available for Kubuntu yet?
I am a little confused since on the wiki page for Ubuntu alpha3
    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardyHeron/Alpha3
I see that an update is possible with update-manager -d

but the page for Kubuntu alpha3
    https://wiki.kubuntu.org/HardyHeron/Alpha3/Kubuntu
does not mention an update yet

    thanks
    Ivan

problem: Could not calculate the upgrade

A unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport.

    HELP?

    tried to update to 8.04

well, I tried the dist-upgrade and so far it seems to have worked well (amd64 system)

I had to uncomment this line in sources.lst before running update-manager

      # deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu gutsy-commercial main

        Good Morning,
I followed the steps described here -- https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardyHeron/Alpha3. It worked perfectly.

There were two points where it asked me whether to keep an older version of something or replace it with the newer version, and I was not sure what the right thing to do was, so I accepted the newer version in each case.

The upgrade system takes you through all the steps very nicely, helping you along with clear messages. In the end, the new version was installed and I'm running smoothly now.

I did this, and while the system is working I have a strange mix of Ubuntu and Kubuntu installed now. DOH!

I'm going to try again later I think... I have a number of hours to play today while the GAME is on. I can be running up here from time to time.
