Anyone know anything about this item? I'm able to get it running in winDoze and it'll capture video/audio with its own software via composite/s-video and audio connections. It'll capture in winDoze moviemaker without audio. Have to channel audio inputs through soundcard to capture. moviemaker seems to have issues with it though. Works good with supplied Pinnacle Studio software though. Kubuntu seems to detect something according to SystemLog viewing. I just don't know of anything in kubuntu that can use it.

A Google-Linux search didn't reveal any useful informatioin on this device, but since it works well with windoze XP, you may be able to get it working with Wine. Note that even though you can download and install it from the official Wine site, it is MUCH easier to install the (*)buntu package from the repositories with your favorite package manager. -

I haven't used wine as yet. Tried it a few times but couldn't get anything to work.
But thanks, I wasn't finding anything about it either. winDoze is good to use for this
it'll record straight to DVD from video source for about an hour. Longer if to harddrive.
