I have a laptop with ATI Mobility 9700. I use a secondary monitor (lcd panel) along with the laptop display. When using 7.10 last year, I had the laptop and external monitor both using 1280x1024. I use 2 desktops, not mirror or span.
Since the upgrade to 8.04, I cannot get my external display to 1280x1024.
My questions is this... What is the best driver to use for this? Should I use the drivers that Kubuntu installs (radeon I think) or should I use restricted drivers or should I download the driver from ATI and install it?
Can someone give me a hand with the Xorg.conf to make this happen?
