I am running kubuntu Hardy Heron and have installed a new video card which is a Ati Radeon 3650 HD 512mb.
I used EnvyNG to find the proper driver for it as I was unable to find the driver for it any other way.
Works great with Windows Xp but as I am trying to switch over completely to linux, I need to make sure everything is working right.
The problem I am having is when I try to run anything full screen, the app will crash, revert back to desktop except the video image is made up of vertical pixalated lines which are out of sync with the line above it.
The image is also many folds over, for example I can see the mouse icon but it displays in 6-8 different locations on one vertical line.
Other then this the video works great, but trying to play games like eve online or watching video causes this problem.
Sometimes I am lucky enough to get back to the xserver to reset it and other times I have to shut the computer down to fix the video problem.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
