    usb headset and skype (solved)

Logitech usb headset used to work with skype but now it does not. It has been a long time since I have used skype so I don't know what is different other than upgrading to HH from FF. Kmix shows the headset and lsusb gives:

    lsusb
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0bda:8187 Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
    Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:c03d Logitech, Inc.
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 046d:0a02 Logitech, Inc.
    Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

Start up (kde 4.1.2) sound comes over headset but nothing else

Found the options menu and chose headset as default device.
I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.

Have you ever tried Ekiga? I'm not a huge user of the IP telephony, but it works pretty well, is open source, and there's a 64-bit .deb of it too.
