How to get rid of progress/spash screen

I want to see the boot messages every time instead of that progress bar. Could I get an idea how to kill it in Hardy?

I want to see everything it loads, not an orange bar crossing the screen... and the 1 on the exit screen as well, so my question is, how do I disable them so I can see what the OS is doing??...
