Recently I've gotten Kubuntu to work with my RealTek 8185 wireless adapter. Trouble is I can't seem to make it active at boot, I always end up having to run these commands:
sudo depmod -a
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
Once I do this it's fine. I did try ndiswrapper -m but this only kept the KNetworkManager from loading! I still had no internet. Any ideas?
Lastly my nvidia is onboard 8200 but when I load the drivers using the hardware thing it reboots, I see Kubuntu loading, then nothing..... the things blank but doesn't say NO SIGNAL. So eh.... what's up? How do I get it to work. Someone told me the thing was defaulting to VGA output and to fix it, but how can that be if the monitor wasn't displaying NO SIGNAL?!
Any thoughts!
