    undetected wireless card

Ran hardware manager in HH to install driver for wireless card. It says it is enabled but WICD says there are no wireless devices. lspci gives this for wireless device.

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)

    lsmod shows:
    wlan 227104 1 ath_pci
I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.

I have the same wireless that you do. I had to build a madwifi driver in order for mine to work, like some on the link to the thread above. However, their info might be out of date, depending on what kernel you have.

I am running Kubuntu 8.04.1 with KDE 3.5.9. My kernel version is 2.6.24-19. I had to use madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3698-20080604 in order for my wireless to work (although I believe the instructions on post #6 install this version).

That's great! Just make sure you don't update the kernel, and it should always work.

Also, when connecting to WPA-secure networks: They might give you a little trouble at first; just be patient. It should work eventually.
