    Hi,

    I have the above mentioned card in stalled and working ok. I have external speakers (with one plug) hooked to it and they work, but I have a headset (with two plugs mike & speaker) and want to use it occasionally. Now according to the card doc, I can just plug in the headset to one plug for mic and one plug for speaker and still have the external speakers hooked up. Only it doesn't work. If I unplug the external speaker and replace with headset that works but not all together.
    My question (since I know probably nothing about sound) is can I have both working on the same card under Kubuntu H.H.? and how would I get it to work (instructions please)?

    did you check your settings in Kmix?

      Hi,

      Yeah I checked all the settings that I could find. I even went so far as to enable the onboard sound "AC97" but that didn't work out either. Having both enabled leads to another whole set of problems. :-)
      I never would have thought it would be such a hassle to switch between the two. I guess I have been using linux so long I tend to think that things just work..... and most do.
