I recently installed a e-GeForce 6200 graphics card into my PC. Things were working fine. I was running at 1024 x 768, I think. I have been looking at Qemu and Virtualbox and when I rebooted Kubuntu, it told me it couldn't find my video card. I told it to boot using the generic driver. Once it was booted, I noticed that it was no longer using the Nvidia proprietary drivers like it was before. I told the computer to use the Nvidia drivers and rebooted, as instructed. The Display was 800 x 600 at 50 hz (auto). There were no higher resolution options available.
This computer also boots into Mandriva Spring. When I boot into that I get a Display of 1024 x 768 at 60 HZ (auto).
Can someone help me to figure out why I no longer have the option in Kubuntu to use 1024 x 768?
