    atheros ar5212 on desktop

    Hi,

I had a Linksys wmp54g wireless pci adapter in my desktop. I was getting flaky reception with it and so got a TP-Link pci adapter that has atheros ar5212 chip set. I have had great experience with that chip set in my laptop so went for it in the pci card. My issue now is that I have installed the card in my desktop (which is an AMD X86_64) and if I lspci it shows up but no where else. In any of the networking screens/setups there is no card shown at all. I get message about the ra0 not being found (which was chip set in linksys card) but nothing on the atheros chipset.
Can anyone point me in a direction to get the correct drivers loaded for it? I looked for ath_hal messages from boot up but fond none.
    thanks
    ppberns

My appologies. I thought that I had the madwifi modules installed but did not. After downloading the latest and compiling them and loading them I was able to get a connection.

    Sorry
