Audio realtek97 alc655

Hi,
I've some problem with my audio card..

it's strange cause for example I heard the first half of log in music, I heard youtube video and VLC video, but is impossible use amarook or banshee cause I have alc655 error, there is a simple way (I'm a newby) to solve this problem ??
I don't understand if it's a drivers problem or software problem :-)

The word 'Realtek' say it all, Daniele.
People using Realtek...do have trouble, with their Sound. (It's NOT supported,)
'Recommended' Sound-card........Creative Labs. (They DO support all 'flavors' of Linux.)
Check out "Linux Online"......for verification.

so, my pc is a barebone (the cube) the soudcard is on mount on the motherboard and I haven't free slot.
I can buy an external sound card if yes, some suggestion
