Hi,
Since upgrading to Hardy Heron I've has persistent problems with the GUI after coming out of monitor power saving mode. The symptom is, when the system comes out of the monitor power save, the registration of the display is either wrapped horizontally, usually shifted by about 10% of the display width (to the left), or completely pixelated, (you can kind of make out the cursor moving around, but everything is scrambled beyond recognition).
I am running the Nvidia GeForce2 driver with an MX400 video card and a 1680x1050 LCD display, and KDE desktop with all of the latest updates.
I've been running Ubuntu for quite a long time, since Warty Warthog, and I recall having this problem quite a long time ago (maybe in Breezy badger?), when I first installed the Nvidia driver, but eventually an update fixed it. (Maybe when I got away from Gnome entirely, I think that was version 6.06, Dapper Drake).
Any help tracking down this problem would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Phil
