    printer in 8.04 (KDE 4.1)

    Hi there,

I had setup a samba printer on my system with 7.10 and it used to work just fiune. Then I decided o upgrade to 8.04 and with it as well to KDE4.1. That's where I'm at now and i don't have any possibility to configure a printer in "system setting" - there's no more icon to add/configure a printer. The old one doesn't print anymore So I'm kinda stuck here. How can i configure the printer setup from where i'm at?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Open Konqueror and in the URL address line enter "localhost:631" with no quote marks. That should open your CUPS configuration utility.

      Hm Okay,

There's that JP LJet 4000 printer on 10.243.249.151 shared as "NovaxW1" by a WindowsXP machine that I added and it would be ready to take jobs and stuff but it keeps telling me recoverable: Network host '10.243.249.151' is busy; will retry in 30 seconds..." after tryintg to print a test page - even tho other hosts are able to print.
      What could this be?

      Thanks!

Since you still have 3.5.x installed (?), you can always
        Code:
        kcmshell printers
to get to the familiar settings dialog... don't know if that will help you with your problem though.
