    Wireless internet USB drive

I just installed Kubuntu on my dad's old laptop, and he wants to get a wireless usb device for it, but i want to make sure its linux-compatible first.

    Can anyone suggest one please?

    Thanks,
    Voice.

    Re: Wireless internet USB drive

I have noticed that any Intel based chipset work flawlessly. I have had really bad luck with Atheros and and Broadcom chipsets. Linksys is still a little sketchy.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. It really helped. We just plugged the USB drive in, and then used Kubuntu's built-in network manager to pick up the network. It was very simple and easy to use. Love it!
