    Integrated soundcard problemm

    Hi all,

    I have integrated soundcard Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03). All works fine, but internal speakers are not muted when headphones are plugged in.

    How can I solve this problem?

    Go into kmix, or alsamixer, and mute the headphone jack (it's listed as 'Front' for me). This mutes the speakers for me and I have the same card. I know it's a hassle, but as far as I know, our soundcards are not fully supported in ALSA.

      In the kmix or alsamixer I see headphone switcher and Front volume (with switcher too). But when I mute the Front volume I can't hear any sound from speakers and from headphones. When I mute headphone switcher I can't hear the sounds only from headphones. But I want to listen music from the headphones and mute the speakers.

      OK. As I can see this situation is unavailable at this moment...

          Also In the ALSA wiki ( http://www.alsa-project.org/main/ind...x:Vendor-Intel )I can see that the chipset ICH8 is not supported yet
