[AUDIO] can't hear anything on kubuntu 8.04

Hello guys, i'm an italian new linux user, and I have a serious problem with my kubuntu 8.04: i can't hear any audio at all. I already tried to look for help on the italian ubuntu forum (this is the post, if anyone of you knows any italian : http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/index.php...,197143.0.html). Despite the various tips they gave me, I can't manage to hear anything: i've installed the 1.016 alsa driver, configured the audio card with the sudo alsaconf and then set my intel card as default.

I also modified the /etc/modules adding "snd-hda-intel" and the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base adding "options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo"

Anyway I can't even enter the alsamixer (only if i type sudo alsamixer -c 0), with the normal "sudo alsamixer -V all" the output is: alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device

To give you some more informations here are some details i've been told to be useful:
