webcam on Asus eee PC 900

I've installed Kubuntu 8.04 on my eee PC 900 computer. Everything works fine except the webcam.
When I open Kopete to test the webcam, Kopete locks up until I kill the process.
is there any settings I can use to make the webcam working?
