Scanner Visioneer 6200 - Driver or driver patch for Linux?

    Running Kubuntu 8.04, latest.
I attached a Visioneer 6200 scanner to it. Systeminfo finds and lists the scanner correctly.

However, Sane and Kooka cannot find it. As far as I know there are no Linux drivers for this model.

Has anyone managed to get this scanner working with Linux?
Or do I have to crank up my old Windows computer again?

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anyone's working on support for these USB "WinScanners". I have an ancient 8700 Visioneer that I haven't tried in over a year because it was never supported either.

I keep an old laptop with Windows on it for the once every two years I need to scan something. If you are looking at scanning more frequently, I'd suggest upgrading to something newer that's confirmed working.

Specs:  Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (@3Ghz), G.SKILL 4GB DDR2 1066, ASUS Striker II Formula MB, Asus EN9800GTX+ Dark Knight, ABS Tagan BZ800 PS, Antec 900 Case.

I have an ancient AMD 800 Mhz Windows computer.
      Activated it.
      Using it for the Visioneer.

As soon as I have found out why it claims to be locked when it is not.

      Thank you for your opinion.
