Can no longer detect Kodak V1003

With 7.10 I had no problems with my digital camera Kodak V1003.
After upgrading to hardy, digikam can no longer detect my camera and I found no way to access the device...
Any idea for a possible solution? Or what can I check to see what's wrong?

I'm using the old kernel (2.6.22-14-generic) because I have errors when booting with the one coming with hardy...

    Ciao,
    V.
