Error message whenmounting USB pen drive, SD, CF

On inserting the media KUBUNTU dutifully finds it and pops up the dialogus asking what I want to do. I select Open In a new window and the following error pops up...

"media/disk is a folder, but a file was expected"

Now the only thing I have done is edit the KMenu so that Konqueror is the file manager.
