    USB memory

    How do I get to see whats on a usb-pen ?
    It do not show up anywhere. Does somebody have an advice on this ?
    I am using Kubuntu 8.04

    it should by default show up on the desktop - a usb icon.

    go into dolphin and click the house icon @ top and find storage devices, you should find your usb pen drive from there. assuming of course you plugged it in.

      You might also try
      K > System Settings > Advanced > Disk & Filesystems.
      Administrator Mode (button)
      Highlight the USB drive/partition in the list.
      Modify.
      Set a mount point for it. (Example: If it shows up as /dev/sdc1, you could use as a mount point /media/sdc1.)
      Click Writable.
      Click so Any user can do anything at any time.
      OK.
      Come back to main Disk & Filesystems screen where the device is still highlighted.
      Click Enable.
      Exit out of the menu.
      Then see if it's in Konqueror or Dolphin under storage media; or perhaps on your Desktop (it may not yet be there, though).
