I agree. That is how it worked for me as well. I think you have to have
printconfig
installed though.
Not sure it works with parallel (non-usb) ports though.

Thanks folks for all this.

I'll try what you've suggested Fredh. But right now, I can't access the repos : to many (k)ubunteros around, i guess.

I'll give it a try later, or maybe I'll switch to Ubuntu untill KDE 4.1 is out and available for Kubuntu.

But I won't forget your advices guys.
