Ok i have my computers running through a KVM that doesnt let EDID data through. Using 7.10 i could manually change my xorg to show the details of my monitor and get it to work at good resolutions. But for some reason now when i change my display settings i cant get anything over 800x600.
If i bypass the KVM i get great resolutions. I can then plug back in the KVM and still get them. So the KVM isnt stopping these resolutions. But as soon as i reboot with the KVM plugged in i go back to 800x600. Im guessing this is something to do with bulletproof X deciding i cant display those resolutions and taking over. How can i disable this and or make my changes to xorg.conf stick?
