    Hardware Sensors

I'm thinking of overclocking my cpu a touch but would like to have some sort of monitor display the hardware charcteristics, mainly cpu temperature, fans speeds, ram speed/temperature, etc. I found the Xsensors on the repo's and installed it but whenever i run it it fails with a message
    code: xsensors
    Error opening config file: /etc/sensors.conf
Use -c option to specify location of lm_sensors configuration file.

Any clues out there to what this means.

    - Topic: Lm-sensors?
    Before you edit, BACKUP !

Why there are dead links ?
    1. Thread: Please explain how to access old kubuntu forum posts
    2. Thread: Lost Information

Thanks for that Rog131. It works but unfortunately all it manages to give me are the cpu sensors.

        Re: Hardware Sensors

Install the package hddtemp and then run sensors-detect again, and maybe you'll add the hard drive temperature to the cpu information.
